9/7/20: back to the future

Still hauling out here in Ceres! We were able to put Brandon, the man we found on Instagram, on date... for this upcoming saturday!!! He is so ready! He has a 7 year old daughter and he is teaching her how to pray and its soooooo cuuuuuute. We also have been working with our main man Juan Vargas and we finally met him in person! Wow! We have a river all set up for their baptisms this week. Also, Lupita is all set and ready to be baptized in Mexcio annnnnnd the elders there started teaching her daughter!

We went on another exchange this week. Hermana Carter came up from Turlock and stayed with me while Hermana Larsen joined Hermana Chambers down in their area. It was a good time! We made Samoan Rice to celebrate the exchange mmmmmm good stuff.
Ok. So we contacted a drone this week. Welcome to 2020. We were sitting at a park doing some Facebook findinding when suddenly this DRONE comes whizzing up to us and we were dying laughing because we kept telling it to go away but it would shake back and forth in the air to say no... and so then we held up some restoration pamphlets I had in my bag and it bounced up and down in the air nodding yes and whizzed away... and then this man just a couple years older than us came out of one of the apartments near by and revealed himself as the controller! So we started talking to him and turns out he was taking lessons with the missionaries a few years ago and wanted to get baptized.... buuuut then went through a rough patch and decided God didnt exist annnnnd then Corona hit and he was super humbled and learned that he was going to have a daughter annnnd now he wants to fix up his life and talk with missionaries again! Absolutely. Via facebook, instagram, in person, drone... you choose we are here for it.
We have been finding and teaching a lot in English lately so we are going to be working with the branch a lot to help it and some struggling families... we have been working a lot with the Ruiz family and they actually are the cutest family EVER. They are always just so happy and balls of sunshine.
It is still mega hot here and it is harvest season so we cant find anyone from our branch because everyone is at work. But let the good times roll on.
Love Hermana Allen
