9/28/20: the party continues
Are you ready? I dont think you are. Prepare yourself. For transfer calls.
Here is the big news: I am staying in Ceres for yet ANOTHER transfer!!!! Wooooooaaaaaah number 5!! 5 in Los Banos, 5 here... let's goooooo
Hermana Larsen will remain my companion and we are keeping our current calling! We are super excited to work on some trainings and start up exchanges again! We also got some big plans for this area and the branch, especially with small church groups starting up.
This week we found some amazing people! We have been teaching a man named (ready for this....) Juan. Yes another Juan. And we set a baptismal date with him! He is so awesome!! He literally goes off on a giant praise rave anytime we mention the Book of Mormon and he is super hyped to watch general conference. We love our studies with him.
We also met a boy named Salo. He actually is cousins with our neighbor that we started teaching English! We were studying outside and then our neighbor ran up to us and was like hey my cousin wants to learn English too can you teach him... and we were like absolutely! So we met him and he immeditaly recognized us as missionaries and was like "woah I think I met you in Mexico"... and we were like "other missionaries like us?" And he was like "no... BOTH OF YOU"... we still haven't convinced him that it wasn't us buuuut we have been teaching him and he really likes the Book of Mormon and he was shooketh when we told him there is a living prophet today. Salo is like 21 and probably one of the funniest, most scattered people I have ever met. He also only has 9 fingers because someone threw a knife at him at one point. We also started teaching a man named Bautizar... I mean Baltazar. He is really cool too. He likes the bible alot.
We went to a birthday party for one our little friends in the branch. She was turning 6 years old and she asked her parents if she could invite the missionaries to her unicorn themed party. It was super fun and we got to know a bunch of her extended family... perfect! Also not a single mask was worn the entire party.
Overall it was a pretty good, very busy week! There should be more good and miracles to come!
