1/25/21: The chairs recline? What is this? A 5 Star Hotel?

Week 1 in semi isolation again went really well!! We accomplished some pretty awesome things and had lots of great, fulfilling spiritual expirience and ate our weights worth of popcorn and hummus!

We have been able to go outside and walk our area a TON and one day we walked all of downtown Dinuba and it was SO FUN!! We said hello from a safe social distance to 107 people... one of them was actually someone we have been messaging on Facebook for a while so that was kinda cool!
We also started teaching some pretty cool people... one of them was this lady that we found on Facebook and we saw that her brother had just passed away and so we asked her over messanger if she would like to pray with us and she said yes... so we called and prayed with her... and then she wanted us to teach her kids... and then she referred her sister to us so that was pretty cool!
We have started using the little church tienda here in Dinuba more. Unfortunately not for church services but we walk there every day and we make our phone calls and teach lessons over the phone there. We immeditaly started to spend more time there as soon as we found out that in the back storage room there is a couch AND a space heater. The couch reclines soooo we are living our best life. We found that out and decided that we would never leave. Also there is a Zoomba Dance Studio next door so we blast hymns to overpower the constant flow of high energy dance music.
We continue to work with Pilar! She is all on track for baptism and really excited! As we currently dont have access to the church fronts (the closest one is 40 minutes away anyways) the current plan is that she will be baptized in our friends large trough... as no one owns a pool here in Dinuba. We considered renting a room at the Best Western downtown to get access to their pool but we ended up deciding that the trough might be a better choice.
We had a meeting for all the sisters mission wide and I got to give a training! It was fun! I also had an over the phone exchange with the Sister Training Leaders that serve in Visalia!! Also very fun!!
We started teaching a lady named Leticia. She is an absolute gem. She was someone we contacted before the isolation thing and she had sent in a missionary request online. She just had a baby and was just feeling super overwhelmed with life and taking care of her family and wanted to learn how to pray! She is amazing and the sweetest lady EVER. We have been teaching her over the phone and we dropped by a copy of the book of mormon this week!
It's coming down to the final days! I wake up every morning excited to run and study and meet new people and pray and speak spanish and do all that good stuff! Have a great week!
