1/18/21: Oh how lovely was the morning...radiant beamed the sun above

 Somehow it is summer again out here in Dinuba. The days are warm and sunny! It's been great! This was my last week as a missionary before the strict quarantine thing we are doing the last 2 weeks before I go and we definitely made it count! This week we:

Sang the first vision song... Joseph Smith's First Prayer.. for an entire neighborhood

-- remember that man Luis? The one who is obsessed with alabanzas and sang like 5 songs for us? We we went back to his place and naturally we had to sing one of our own Alabanzas... and he blasted the speakers so loud that everyone in a 2 mile radius could hear us. It was amazing.

Re taught Pilar about prophets

-- so Pilar was super struggling with that concept and was refusing to pray about it because she said that she had made up her mind... that prophets were not necessary... but she still really wanted to be baptized soooo we brought a member over and had an AWESOME lesson about prophets and apostles and we showed her the scriptures and asked Hermana... where in these 3000 pages does it mention Cars? Planes? Telephones? Drugs? Nowhere. We then explained that the modern day prophets are not people we pray to, they are not perfect people, but they help us follow Jesus Christ in changing times. We then invited her to pray about prophets and she did! And long story short Pilar knows now that God communicates with his children in many many ways and that prophets are one of them.

Had exchanges with the Cutler/Orosi sisters

-- I went with sister bishop and she was able to lead the area for the first time! She did awesome. We also ate lunch with Juventino... he is an interesting fella... but it was a good time! 

It has been a fabulous week filled with many opportunities to share testimony and teach! I look forward to what next week will bring.
