8/3/20: does anyone still read these? Happy One Year!

 Well all three people we were teaching dropped us... buuuuuut...  we started teaching FIVE NEW PEOPLE this week so we put here still hauling. 

We have been working with a part member family for a little bit... the perez family... they live about 30 minutes out of town in the boonies with lots of chickens, dogs, goats... and 4 teenage kids who are considering baptism. They are all pretty stubborn but also they are all super cool! We are chill with them but we have pounding out lessons. 

We also started teaching a lady named Elisa. She has a lot of questions. Like enough to make up for the lack of people we are teaching. But nothing we cant answer. @The Book of Mormon. Honestly super glad I have only been studying in Spanish because now I can answer all her questions...using the scriptures... in Spanish... it just feels nice to go scripture chasing under pressure again.

We have been POUNDING OUT Facebook finding and trying everything under the sun. We have been talking with some Sisters from Salt Lake and... woah... fun fact. They have been doing this stuff for YEARS and are  MASTERS at it!! So we have been using the stuff they taught us and we are actually finding people! Nothing much past a lesson or two but that is what progress looks like. 

Instagram is still a fun place. We ate hecka tacos at our branch mission leaders house and cracked down on some branch goals. We rode bikes a lot and got really sweaty. We met a man who stopped us on bikes and talked to us for an hour about his own Buddhist mission?? in Nicuragua before he moved here. Good times. 

Things still keep us on our toes here in Ceres. We just got back from playing ultimate frisbee in 98 degree heat with our district so life is good.
