8/24/20: Celestial Ceres
Wooooow. Wooooooooooow. WOOOOOOOOOOOW. I have been very blessed this week. Very very very blessed. The weeks started off with transfers and Hermana Larsen and I literally traded companions. Our two hijas, Hermana Curtis and Hermana Sutherland are companions and are taking on Maders together! They are going to be great!!
Hermana Larsen is actually amazing. We literally have been putting Helaman 11:23 into play and planning and plotting so much for this transfer. We also are the admins over our zone Facebook page so we will be extra busy this transfer with that and exchanges!
Lupita is doing amazing and she is getting ready to head back to Mexico soon but she is so prepared!! She is super super super excited about temples and we have talking a lot about them and watching lots of videos.
We also got back into contact with Doris Díaz this week and wow she is a hard one to catch but she is progressing little by little. We couldnt find her for a really long time becasue she left for Fresno and her phone broke. We also have been teaching a man named Juan that I found with Hermana Curtis through facebook. He has just been super cool to teach. When we had our first call lesson he literally had no idea who Christ was and he said that he had tried praying a higher power all his life but nothing had worked... we then told invited him to use the name Heavenly Father when he prayed and we told him if he read the Book of Mormon he would know who Jesus Christ was and BAM. He started to progress super fast and teaching US about the Book of Mormon. So this week we put him on date for baptism!! Mind you we have never met this man in person. Only through Facebook. The lord has people literally prepared in every corner of the earth.
We had to drive down to Madera on Friday to sign some papers because (funky story) the sisters there are switching apartments under a lease in Hermana Larsens name... but I got to see Hermana Curtis again haha! She was kinda struggling getting adjusted to the new area and companion and leaving training so we had a really nice chat while everyone signed the papers. We then started to drive back to Ceres (1 1/2 hour drive) but had to turn around about half way back becasue they discovered more papers to sign... ahhhh! But we got some good burritos on the way back and made a bunch of phone calls so all well spent time.
The Perez family is still doing and learning well. They are almost on date. Little by little.
Life has been good. We are learning a lot!
Lots of Love
Hermana Allen
Also California is on fire again and I haven't seen the sun for a week. We love ash.
