8/17/20: bike bike Chomp Chomp

Hey hey! Found out this week I will be staying in Ceres for another transfer making it transfer #4 out here! Wahoooooooo!!! The further I dive into the work here in Ceres the more I find so #BLESSED. Hermana Curtis is done with training and she will be headed down to Madera and continuing the work there and my new companion will be the one and only Hermana Larsen!!! And we will be working to develop a new calling titled (ready for this) Lead Sister Training Leaders. Our president called 3 companionships of sisters across the mission to work on developing a bunch of technology training and to help support multiple zones worth of sister missionaries! So I will cover the 4 north zones with Hermana Larsen and we will be holding exchanges across the zones and attending a lot of meetings!! Its gonna be AWESOME!!

In other news we set a baptismal date with Lupita!! She is the lady we found that one day after biking for miles and miles in the heat. She is moving back to Mexico next week but no worries because we got her all connected with the missionaries down there. She is very excited and just a wonderful, faithful, sweet woman who makes us drink a lot of juice everytime we teach her.
We also have continued to teach the Perez family and they are all making slow progress... but progress! We love those slightly sassy teens!
We also are teaching a man we found from F a C e B o O k. His name is Juan and he really likes to pray. We pray a lot with him. We also talk a lot about the Book of Mormom which he also really likes! We have only ever had video calls with him but he is awesome!
We biked 11 miles in one day this week... it was 102 degrees. We biked a lot actually this week because the mission took our car for some repairs. That is ok though because I love biking and ya know if you ride fast enough you catch little bits of hot wind here and there that kinda cool you down. It was kinda fun because all 4 of us had a couple member lessons together so we biked together across town!
My companion was bit by a dog this week. It was a "service dog" owned by a lady we were doing service for. It was not a very good service dog obviously. But the dog had all its shots and only got her in one little area but the one break in skin was a pretty deep so we had to call the doctor and get some anti biotics but all is well! She was able to bike later in the day even with the bite and it is healing nicely. Hermana Curtis is a trooper! The main problem was that after the initial bite we were all not in shape to bike or walk... and we didnt have a car (we had biked to the service project) but we called our Zone Leaders and they came and let us use their car. The poor owner of the dog was super distraught so we actually had a really great moment and all said a prayer with her.
All is well now though!
A really good week over all! We THRIVED!! and more thriving to come!
Love Hermana Allen
