7/20/20: Wait...he died where?

 Oki doki

So I am on Instagram now in that pilot program thing and wow it is a wild world. I logged in for the first time in a year and I was like....take it away... no me gusta... but apparently the Lord sees work to be done there so we are experimenting here and there and trying to dive in! I really just wanted to be put into like an isolated jungle for my mission but this is where the Lord wants me to serve so I will go and do I suppose!
This week I led my first exchange as a Sister Training Leader! I had Hermana Curtis stay and lead the area for a day with another trainee (Hermana Chambers) while I went with Hermana Carter to her area! It was a great exchange and I think Hermana Curtis grew a lot in having to take lead of the area!
This week we had zone conference over Zoom! It was awesome! The in person conference we were going to have was canceled because the governor of California is tightening things up, but over zoom was still super awesome!! Hermana Wegesend and I got to lead a training and that was super exciting and everyone had really good insights and expiriences to share. Also. We are not allowed to have baptisms in church and we have to do them in rivers or pools now... DORIS HAS A GIANT BLOW UP POOL SO WE WILL BE OK! also there is a river down the road! So we are good!
Speaking of tightening things up because of the Virus... half of our ranch has caught the Virus because of this one dude... Hermano Tirso... who is so so nice and rides around town on his bikes and just looks for people to serve and visits everyone in the branch but he also caught the virus and spread it all while spreading his love for humanity. Big oof. No more member visits.
We posted like 15 adds on Facebook though to give free spiritual messages and people have FLOCKED TO THAT BY THE HUNDREDS. So we will be busy setting that up! We also posted an add to do service for people in a Covid-19 safe way and a lady responded and said she needed help painting her home... so we drove to her home and this home is the one and only HISTORIC GALLO WINE HOUSE?!?!?! What?!?! You don't know what that is? Neither did I but we learned all about it! Until recently it was being used as a cartel meet up spot but then the police raided it and then this lady, Jordan, bought this old historic kinda funky mansion home for dirt cheap and is trying to fix it up and for her and her little kids to live in and this house is crazy!! There were statues of fish everywhere, doors that lead to nowhere, a balcony over the river, a giant old tour bus rotting in the front yard... it was so fun to clean up and scrub police boot marks off of the doors and we got to talk with Jordan about the gospel and she was super interested! We will be back!! It was so cool! Also turns out the origional owner... earnest gallo... died in one of the rooms we were cleaning (of old age) but that was kinda spooky!
Well that is that!
Have a great week!
