7/12/20: do you want to be baptized... by theproper powerandauthoritygiventomanbygodthatwenowhavehereontheearth

What a week for the books!

I got to meet my the sisters I will be helping out as Sister Training Leader! They are two companionships, both just started training/fulfilling role as trainer and WOW this mission is so lucky they are all awesome!! It is going to be super exciting to learn and grow with them!
We also got assigned to be technology pilot program missionaries this transfer... which basically means we will be attending a lot of meetings and using instagram...? It is gonna be quite the wild ride.
We ALSO finished/made this SUPER AWESOME service video for an initiative our mission started called (are you ready for this) #spreadkindnessnotthevirus. Yes that is real. Directions for how you can get involved below. Funny story, we created the video with the intention of it just being aimed at modesto and then when we finished it we were like woah this actual super awesome and looks really good and we got footage of service going on all over the mission so let's give this to the mission! So we talked to the missionaries that are supervising all the social media pages and they were like WOAH we actually just were about to launch this social media service initiative and we wanted a video for it and your fits perfectly!!! So we gave the video to them and they started the movement and a bunch of other missions are joining in and using our video! Wahoo! The lords hand works in all things to move his work forward... even through corny hashtags.
We also had some great lessons with a few potenatials this week. I got to share the first vision like 3 times in spanish which wow what a blessing to finally be able to talk about good old brother Joseph and the book of mormon with people IN PERSON
We also had a FAT miracle come to pass via a wonderful woman named Doris Díaz. She was a potential that we have been calling and calling and finally she called us...? Turns out she just wanted to get a phone number of someone else we knew but we set up an appointment to visit her too haha. So we go over to her little home on the edge of Ceres and we sit down on her porch to talk with and the spirit was so strong. So I felt really prompted to invite her right then and there to be baptized. And she was like yeah! When?? So she is on date for the 25th and turns out she had been going to church in a little town called Riverbank for a while before the quarantine and had a copy of the Book of Mormon!! It was awesome!! She is so sweet and super smart and wow we love her!
Also, Juan passed the sacrament yesterday at our little missionary church thing! We love Juan. Juan is perfect.
We learned a lot this week about being task oriented and not task masters. We are learning to be patient with people who talk for really really long periods of time and being a little flexible when an opportunity arises to serve. That is definitely what jesus would do and something I am learning to do as well.
Ceres is moving forward little by little
... just like us on bikes in 100 degree weather.
