6/15/20: mmmmm that's one good can of Spam

What a great week filled with growth and my first expirience with cooked spam and lots of spanish. We had our first Zone conference/interviews in a long long time and it was awesome!! Super sad that the Mackays are leaving soon...

We also were able to participate in a mission tour hosted by an area 70 whose very German name I can't quite spell... but wow he is quite the power house and definetly made for quite a week of increased knowledge and chastisement... haha there is so much I feel that we are doing well as missionaries but also so so so much more that we could be doing! Lets just say I am learning how to repent daily.
I know that the Lord blesses our efforts though! For example we had some lessons with Juan where we just straight read the Book of Mormon and it was so awesome! Just the light in his eyes just flips on everytime we read and he has. So. Many. Questions. We came into our lesson on Wednesday with a couple principles to talk about but the spirit was like nope. Just read the Book of Mormon with him. And we did and it answered all the questions he had!!
We also had a lesson with a man named Umar. We met him in a park while doing some Facebook finding and then two days later we met him in a different park! He was kinda shook becasue he had felt that morning that he needed to go to that park at some point in the day.... so we talked with him and he mentioned he wanted to talk more about God... so he called us later and we set up a time to meet!! Turns out he is not quite ready for the message of the restoration but... he is definitely on the right path and is making some huge changes in his life and it was just amazing to me to see the hand of the lord so clearly guide him... to us! Maybe one day!
There have been some rough patches and unexpected difficulties in training while in quarantine but overall the Lord has provided and Hermana Curtis continues to face each day with a happy attitude. We are busy, we cook lots of food and i have a new found love of spam, we teach English, we run every morning, we laugh a lot at all the crazy things that we see around in Ceres!! Hermana Curtis is wonderful and is teaching me a lot!!
All is well in Ceres and we are kept on our toes!
