4/13/20: This week we get to celebrate something very special... trash.

A little explanation about the title this week. The word in spanish for Easter is Pascua... which for some reason in mind gets mixed up with the word Basura which is trash in spanish...so in a lesson over the phone I accidently replaced the two and confused a very nice man from Crows Landing.

Definetly need to upgrade my Spanish for a variety of reasons but most primarily being that I am being transfered to Ceres!!!
That is right folks! My first transfer after almost 8 months in Los Banos! My current companion, Hermana Hilton, actually served in Ceres for a bit and has been telling me all about it and I am super hyped!! The first thing she told me was that Ceres is about 80% only Spanish speaking as well as to not bother the witch doctors down the street from our apartment so you could say that I am ecstatic! Because the mission is very short on missionaries currently my future companion, Hermana Heiner, and I will be covering 3 areas! The whole city of Ceres! Super super excited to get busy and digging again!!
As for the future of Los Banos Spanish 1.1... well there are no missionaries to replace me so the English sisters will be taking on everything until new missionaries arrive. Fortunately, one of the sisters knows Spanish and the other was asked to learn so it will be ok! I am also working to get some members to keep our converts progressing and taken care of and also busy getting all the secratarial stuff set up for the next missionaries... who ever it may be... all set up so I will make the rest of this email brief haha
Jocsan is doing super super super well. He literally stopped drinking Coffee and was super hyped about it! He sent us photos of all the juice he drank instead. Honestly a super cool dude. Kinda sad I wont be teaching him as much because Hermana Hilton is going to a different area but we promised him that I could join the call lessons from Ceres.
We made Easter baskets and delivered them to all of our friends this week! We would just knock on their door, wearing masks of course, and then just sprint away as to not pass the Corona.
We also gave Jose a copy of Doctine and Covenants in spanish by his request so he could start studying it because he finished the Bookof Mormon!! Awesome!
Well have a good one! Talk to you from Ceres  next week!
Hermana Allen
1) trying pure Yerba Mate (a common drink in South America) can you find the true Paraguya?
2) would you like a copy of the Book of Mormom?
3) I put eyeliner on for these photos so I hope they are appreciated.
