2/24/20: I am the Strawberry Woman Warrior
Welcome to this weeks update of adventures in Los Banos California!
-We went to Santa Nella and Volta... which are basically just like two streets in the middle of nowhere but we knocked them and found some fun people! One dude let his German Shepherd lose on us to try and get us to go away... it turned out to be a nice dog but wow i started praying when i saw that big old dog coming at us full speed. Some people just like isolation i guess... we won't be trying that house again...
- Hablamos con Juan Cruz y la familia Salazar esta semana!!! We haven't been able to catch either of them in about a month but we finally caught them and wow it was an answer to many prayers. They are all recent converts and doing well and with both Juan and the Salazar family we talked about the Book of Mormon and it was amazing to hear their testimonies!
- We put Randy on date for baptism!!!! We joined the english sisters for a lesson and they haven't had a lesson with him or Danielle for a long time because Randy has been working like crazy trying to get a new job (he even shaved his beard so you know he was dedicated to getting this job) and without any prompting or anything Randy looks at me right after we sit down and just says..."I did what you and sister brown asked me to do about a month ago... I prayed aloud in my car while driving to work and promised God that if I got this job i would get baptized...and I got the job... so does the 7th work for yall?" I actually started kinda crying tears of joy. I could see that his wife, Danielle, was super super happy too. Randy and his wife Danielle have made so many faithful steps to come closer to God since i have been working with them and I love them literally so much and now Randy and his family can be sealed in the temple and wow I am just so excited for them.
- We met this sweet little old Oxacan lady who after we talked for a bit about who we were and our purpose, asked us to come inside and pray for her son who was just in a huge car crash recently right then and there. So we did and turns out this man, her son, Miguel is very interested in our message and the Book of Mormon and all that! Super exciting! We have stopped by to talk to him a few more times and each time the little abuelita comes in and joins us in on the lessons and falls asleep right there on the floor to the soothing sounds of la palabra de dios
- we met a lady just street contacting who told us she was the "Strawberry Woman Warrior" and that we needed to be purified by the word as soon as possible as well as look for the hidden strawberries everywhere... I love Los Banos
That's all for now!
Love you all lots and lots
