1//27/20: Double it!

Welp. I am doing it! The whole missionary thing! The Los Banos split is in full swing and we are in the nitty gritty splitting records, passing off people, fininding, brainstorming part. The two english sisters arrived this week while I was in Fresno waiting for my little Trainee and they got right to work. They are both awesome and Heavenly Father must have some great stuff planned and people waiting here in Los Banos because these Sisters are here and ready to jump in! We have already seen some miracles and the Lords hand guide us in the whole split! Right now all four of us have been kinda working in tandem so I can introduce the area and people and such. The work is DOUBLING

ok my little trainee is Hermana Vanslyke and she is honestly such a cutie! super excited to work! very cheerful! and very patient with me in the midst of all of this craziness. She is from Spokane Washington so it is kinda fun to introduce ourselves and represent the best state ever. Honestly these next two transfers are gonna be a blast!
It was weird being out of my area waiting for Hna Vanslyke but I gotta spend some days in Fresno with some other awesome sisters and pick up some ideas for my own area!
wow so Spanish is still super rough but wow i have already seen a lot of miracles from just having the faith to just go at it and work it out! Its been kinda hard not having anyone to rely on but even after super duper rough contacts or lessons... I feel peace. The spirit is what really teaches people and fortunately God knows we are not perfect and has prepared a way- Jesus Christ and his atonement- to fill in all our gaps so it has become very clear to me this week that as long as I am working my hardest to bring the spirit, to follow his will, to do what is asked... then i will be ok and everything will be straightened out. A lot easier said than done. I am also learning that it is totally ok to ask for help. Missionaries (lol me) and people in general sometimes think they have to do everything perfectly the first time and only rely on themselves for everything but help is ok! Help from Heavenly Father, ward members, other missionaries! Heavenly Father has provided us with all these resources to help us out and get his work done.
For example... remember Yair?? Well we had a lesson with him Thursday right after getting back in town and phew it was rough... I had a super hard time understanding and couldn't meet his needs because of the language barrier but set up another lesson for sunday (last night). Sooooo i brought a member with us who is Yair's age and speaks spanish as his first language and it worked out perfectly. They connected really well and the member gave him a ride to 7pm spanish service and we were all able to work off each other and help Yair! Yair told us since reading the Book of Mormon adn meeting with us he has felt happier and more motivated to find work and sort of re-organize his life... he told us that he really want to keep repenting and being better annnnnnd with that I was able to extend a baptismal invitation (with a little language help haha) and Yair accepted and was super excited! He also told us that he has an 18 month old son in Mexico that has been going to THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS in mexico with the lady he is staying with...umm coincidence? I think not. we set the baptismal date for the 22nd of February and Yair said that would be perfect and that he can finish the Book of Mormon by then!
Super duper busy here and it is awesome! excited for everything to come!!
