1/20/20: Imagine you are drowning, and then someone hands you a baby.

Ok are yall ready for this? So remember how I was super concerned about my abilities in the Language and abilities as a missionary??? Well this week i learned that I am TRAINING annnnnnnnd introducing 2 new sisters to the area! That is right folks! With the death of Hermana Browns mission we are splitting the area english to Spanish group. I will be over Spanish with my young little child missionary and we are gonna spend a little bit of the next few weeks helping the English Sisters learn the area and introduce them to people. Kinda stressful buuuut it is fine! The Spanish group needs a lot of help and some root work, but if Heavenly Father thinks I am ready for this than I am! There is gonna be a lot of miracles these next few weeks and i literally have no confidence in my spanish ability buuuuuut I have lots of faith and confidence in Christ so things are gonna be ok. Even if it is a little hard and an adjustment at first!

Woah woah woah. Ok so also this week we found an 18 year old named Yair! Here is the situation. He has been working here for a year to help his mom in Mexico, his dad passed away, he is living out of his truck and paying to use a bathroom of a lady across the street, and his little step brother who he is trying to take care of is living with another family while all of this is going on. He also was laid off from his seasonal job last week.... and i thought i had problems... well anyways we were tracting and I was trying to talk to the senora of the house that Yair is paying to use the bathroom of and the lady was not interested and we were walking away and then we ran into Yair who immediately started talking to us and told us to take a seat and started just asking questions about the Book of Mormon. Apparently missionaries in Mexico gave him a copy but he lost it when he came here and so we gave him another. We came back and knocked on his truck door a few days later and he had READ 20 CHAPTERS AND HAD QUESTIONS AND LITERALLY HAD SOME PART OF THE BOOK MEMORIZED. super awesome. To be continued.
We also had to say goodbye to Jayduse and Lee this week... super super sad because they live in New Zealand so i dont know how i am gonna see them again... unless i take a trip to New Zealand. Anyone down?
We went all over town and said goodbye to a lot of people this week. Hermana Brown has worked like a dog here and given so many people the gospel over the past 9 months... many many people love her and honestly i don't know how i am gonna fill her shoes but her hard work has set me and many other people to come for success.
We are trying to work on Goal keeping with Gabriel so this week we made a goal with him to do 11 push ups a day. Hermana Brown would do 12 a day... and my goal was to be able to do 7 by the end of the week haha. Today we are driving into Dos Palos and gonna do some push ups in the Motel Parking Lot and see if we all kept to our goals.
Welp wish me luck! Heavenly Father loves you all!
