01/06/20...doing the whole missionary person thing a little better

Alright so this week we absolutely hauled, called maybe 1000 people, plotted and planned, and got a youth temple trip going. We managed to get Jayduse, Lee, Gabriel, and a bunch of other recent convert jovens to the temple and doing baptisms. It was a super amazing experience. The spirit there was amazing and I watched these high energy, kinda punk, teenage boys turn into precious, spiritually aware little balls of joy in the temple. Jayduse was able to be baptized and confirmed for his father which was really really amazing and wow you could feel the room change when that happened. A switch flipped in Jayduse as well and just the entire concept of baptism and eternal families just made sense as he went on and on about how now that his dad is baptized they can be together in heaven and all that good stuff. It was cool to see Gabriel and his parents in the Temple together too. We worked realty hahahaaha REALLY hard to get them there and it was all worth it. Also Gabriel, Jayduse, and Lee all passed the sacrament on Sunday and wow talk about blessings. The three of them have formed a nice little friendship as well that has been entertaining in the least to watch. I am going to be devastated when Jayduse and Lee head back to New Zealand. I will miss their cute little accents and sass.

I was able to visit my old CCM Companion, Hermana Nelson, in Madera for a day while Hermana Brown was at a meeting. We had fun talking about our areas, knocking doors, trying cooked cactus, and sharing everything we have learned in the past few months. I have been kinda on myself lately about my growth and ability as a missionary. Especially my growth in the language. I feel kinda stuck and just really frustrated and surprised that I am not the perfect missionary i thought i would be by the end of training. All human emotions. Its ok to want to grow and we should always be working to be better but, as I have learned this week, sometimes we just need to have the faith to suck at something haha! To literally just feel free to fall down a couple times and then rely on Christ to pick us back up over and over again. Hopefully as we continue to fall we will get up a little faster each time and be able to take bigger and bigger steps but the Lord really does expand our efforts. If we are trying our very best and just have that faith to continue pressing forward even though we kinda suck... Christ and his atonement will fill in the gaps.
so yes i am doing this missionary thing a little better than I had been at the beginning of this week. The goal is to say the same by the end of this week.
Speaking of little triumphs RUBEN IS BACK ON DATE AND THAT IS WHERE HE IS GONNA STAY SO HELP ME. That man is just the sweetest but wow he really is someone you got to work for. But he is coming to the Spanish 7pm group and we are gonna get him some friends.
ok that is all the big stuff. Keep reading the Book of Mormon and going to church and being nice to people.
